Interview with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ali Burak DARICILI: Intelligence 101

The Journal of Intelligence Research and Studies made its first interview with Associate Professor Ali Burak DARICILI. Associate Professor DARICILI completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Department of International Relations, in 1998, his master's degree at Middle East Technical University, Department of International Relations, in 2010, and his doctorate at Uludağ University, Department of International Relations, in 2017. Between 2000 and 2014, he served in the Turkish Prime Ministry on Intelligence and Security issues in Türkiye and abroad as well. After 2014, he focused on his academic studies and conducted research on "Cyber Security, Intelligence, Current Turkish Foreign Policy Issues, and Terrorism". Associate Professor DARICILI is still working as a faculty member at Bursa Technical University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of International Relations. In the framework of his latest book titled "Intelligence 101," published in May 2023, we had an interview with DARICILI on different topics such as; the concept of intelligence, the intelligence cycle, intelligence studies in Türkiye and private intelligence companies.
